Recently here in Orem we have been having some pretty nice weather. It really just makes me sick to ride around in my truck when the sun is shining and I am not freezing my butt off. Needless to say that I am dying to be on two wheels. I know that I said that I was kinda over the whole cafe racer idea, and well I am. I think it is kinda a imitation wanna be sport bike. I know, I know that they were before sport bikes but if I am going to invest three to four thousand dollars on a bike that looks like a old version of a Naked bike then I should just go out and buy a Naked bike. So what exactly am I writing about? Well, ever since it started to warm up I have been looking at bikes again. After looking at a Buell, I decided that they were just too big of a bike and I would get my self into serious trouble, either with the law or with the hospital. So no go on a big bore sport bike. I have always been firmly against the in-line four bikes, because I really dont want to have to pay a massive insurance premium. So after seeing a artical/advertisment in a four-wheeling magazing I looked into this company called Highland. (http://www.ushighland.com/) Well it sparked my interest again in street trackers. They are going to build a model of a street tracker. I have had so many ideas on how I want to do this that I would be stupid not to build a bike. So after checking out Mule again they have been building a beautiful bike that I have just fell in love with. These guys are artists with these XS650's. Well here it is.
These guys are building bikes the exact same way I would. Luckily they already know how to do it and they are willing to impart of their information about tricky little things and hidden gems of knowledge. Lets see if it happens, cuz it would really make my summer if it did!
